Sprinkle yeast over warm milk, then add butter, sugar, vanilla + 1 cup flour. Add cardamom, salt, orange zest + eggs. Add enough flour to make a soft but sticky dough.

Switch to a dough hook and knead for 5 minutes, until the dough is smooth and elastic.

Cover dough with plastic wrap and let rise in a warm place until nearly doubled, about 1 hour.

Roll dough into a 10x15-inch rectangle. Top with softened butter, followed by half of the orange filling.

Starting at the long end, roll dough tightly. Cut into 12 equal pieces.

Place rolls into a greased pan, cut-side up. Pour remaining filling over top.

Cover rolls and let rise for 1 hour, until nearly doubled. Bake for 35 minutes.

Top the rolls with orange cream cheese glaze and enjoy!
